That’s the truth.
We all face challenges, difficulty, rejection, but for some people the challenges seem almost insurmountable.
Over the years, I have met so many people who were true survivors. Survivors of HIV/AIDS, cancer, childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, poverty, drug addiction, alcoholism, war, you name it.
In my work with PROTECT and as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse myself, I’ve met a lot of people who’ve lived through things that simply defy the imagination.
Yet, there are people that manage to go on, not just “survive” but really LIVE – full, meaningful, happy, lives.
I’ve always been fascinated by people who exhibit this sort of resiliency, this strength. How do they do it? What is that spark…that drive…that energy that allows them to get back up over and over again, no matter how many times they’re knocked down, and come up smiling? And how can we all learn to do that?
What is The Indomitable Spirit?
Join me and Carolyn Peterson on our mission to discover The Indomitable Spirit. Come hear from amazing survivors as they share their powerful stories, learn about valuable resources that can help us all, and ultimately find the Indomitable Spirit within yourself, within all of us.
