I started The Indomitable Spirit because, along the paths of my life, I’ve come across so many fascinating people, each with his or her own story to tell. We’ve all had our trials – from the mundane to the catastrophic – from breaking up with a boyfriend in high school – to losing a father, mother, husband, wife or child. Each moment defines us and each either bends us, breaks us or makes us stronger.
The stories in our series, “The Indomitable Spirit: Stories of Courage, Strength and Survival,” are told by people who chose to survive and thrive rather than lose themselves in despair. And now they’re at a place in their lives where they wish to share what they’ve learned with others who may be going through the same or similar situations.
This group is slowly expanding and will be forever changing. If you know someone with a story of hope to share, please refer them to me. Perhaps they can join our group or just offer to give a one-time presentation.
If you’re an organization who’d like to hire any of the speakers for one of your own events – to speak at a university, a woman’s club, a church, a synagogue, a hospital – please contact me.
If I can inspire just one person to rise above the challenges in their life and to impact someone else along the way, then my own journey has found its meaning.
“Into a dancer you have grown
From a seed somebody else has thrown
Go on ahead and throw some seeds of your own
And somewhere between the time you arrive
and the time you go
May lie the reason you were alive
that you’ll never know.”
Jackson Browne (“For A Dancer”)
